Meet Shelley Worrel a Brooklyn native and the Founder + Chief Curator of caribBEING Shelley V Worrell. CaribBeing is a thriving cultural organization that stands at the crossroads of film + art + culture.

Shelley has produced over 200 public programs in partnership with top cultural institutions most notably BRIC, Brooklyn Historical Society, Brooklyn Museum, MoCADA, Municipal Art Society, Queens Museum and Studio Museum in Harlem. She has also taken caribBEING global with presentations in Poland, France, Barbados and most recently Haiti to present Brooklyn, Caribbean Capital of the World at the Caribbean Studies Association as an extension of her new initiative to develop a Little Caribbean in Flatbush & Crown Heights. For her work as a cultural entrepreneur, Shelley has been featured in domestic and international media including Brooklyn Magazine, Black Enterprise, Caribbean Life, Good Morning America, Guardian Media and hyperallergic.
